Turn up the volume with these great music shows at St George’s Hall

From well-loved chart-topping hits and disco classics, to musical showstoppers, soul and Motown, and Irish jigs; we’re turning up the volume on music this March at St George’s HallBradford.

Renowned actor, singer, best-selling author, and entertainer John Barrowman MBE is bringing his brand-new solo show, Laid Bare to St George’s Hall on Thursday 6 March. From Broadway classics to contemporary hits, John Barrowman will be showcasing his dazzling voice and sharing personal anecdotes in this celebration of artistry, passion and joy of music.

John Barrowman is a huge theatre star on both sides of the Atlantic due to his critically-acclaimed leading roles in Broadway and West End productions. He has racked up a formidable list of theatre credits including Sunset Boulevard, Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Beauty & the Beast and many more.

In the UK his West End fame quickly led him to the hearts of TV fans with his high-profile roles in Doctor Who, Torchwood, Arrow and as the face of TV talent shows Dancing on Ice, I’d Do Anything, Any Dream Will Do and How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?.

His highly successful recording career includes ten best-selling solo albums and several cast albums. John became a Sunday Times best-selling author for his autobiography Anything Goes and has since co-written nine action/adventure books with his sister Carole Barrowman. In 2014 he was awarded an MBE for services to charity and entertainment.

Jason Donovan’s Doin' Fine 25 tour, is a spectacular celebration of his remarkable career in music, theatre, film and TV. At St George’s Hall on Friday 7 March, this exciting show will take fans on a journey through 35 years of hits on stage and screen via Jason’s energetic and unique live performance style.

Jason Donovan, has delighted audiences worldwide with his versatility as an actor, singer and all round entertainer. He has amassed a rich catalogue of hits, and Doin' Fine 25 is set to be a sensational culmination of his outstanding achievements to date. This musical feast will feature a dynamic selection of Jason's most beloved songs from stage shows such as Joseph, Priscilla, Rocky Horror and Grease together with nods to his TV work in Neighbours and Strictly, as well as some of his biggest pop hits including Especially For You, Too Many Broken Hearts and Sealed with a Kiss

Celebrating the golden era of disco, the high-energy Disco Inferno comes to St George’s Hall on Saturday 8 March.

Featuring electrifying performances, stunning costumes and an unforgettable light show, this spectacular production is a journey through disco’s enduring legacy, celebrating the iconic hits of Donna Summer, Earth Wind & Fire, The Bee Gees, The Jackson 5 and many more. 

With pitch-perfect harmonies and slick moves, a stellar cast of West End professionals supported by some of the UK’s finest musicians, will perform a mesmerising line-up of disco classics including It’s Raining Men, Love Train, Car Wash and, of course, Disco Inferno.

Pop sensation Gareth Gates is taking centre stage in Gareth Gates Sings Love Songs from the Movies at St George’s Hall on Friday 14 March. This spellbinding show seamlessly blends the heartwarming melodies of classic films with the electrifying energy of up-tempo hits, all brought to life by Gareth's soulful voice and magnetic stage presence.

From the tender moments of Unchained Melody to the sizzling chemistry of Dirty Dancing, Gareth delivers an unforgettable performance, breathing new life into beloved ballads and lively up-tempo numbers alike.

With each song, audiences will be transported through the iconic love stories that have graced the silver screen, from timeless classics to modern favourites. Backed by a dynamic live band and enhanced by mesmerizing visuals, this spectacular production promises an evening of pure emotion, nostalgia, and excitement. 

The Drifters are making a welcome return to St George’s Hall on Thursday 27 March.

One of the longest running singing groups in pop history still performing live, they have enjoyed over 50 hits worldwide. The Drifters have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, performed for the President of The United States and are listed among the greatest artists of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.

Featuring an all-new production and boasting the show’s most lavish set to-date, Seven Drunken Nights: The Story of The Dubliners is coming back to St George's Hall on Friday 28 March

In association with the legendary Irish pub O’Donoghue’s - the iconic venue where The Dubliners first began performing together - Seven Drunken Nights is a spectacular tale that celebrates Ireland’s favourite musical sons in authentic style. 

Steeped in song, story and revelry, this critically acclaimed production tells the incredible story of the group’s 50-years career, invoking the spirit of the great Ronnie Drew, Luke Kelly, Barney McKenna, John Sheahan, Ciaran Bourke and Jim McCann. 

Renowned as the ultimate feel-good Irish show, Seven Drunken Nights is so much more than a celebration of The Dubliners. Driven by a hugely talented cast of outstanding musicians and singers, the show stars its charismatic writer and director Ged Graham, whose narration warmly guides the audience through stunning performances of so many of the group’s celebrated classics, including The Irish Rover, The Leaving of Liverpool, Belle of Belfast City, Dirty Old Town, The Banks of the Rose, Star of the County Down and The Town I Love So Well
