Richard Hawley / Black Dyke Band

Brass legends team up with Sheffield’s favourite son for a one-off concert – exclusively live for Bradford 2025.

Richard Hawley has played with everyone from Arctic Monkeys to Texas, Pulp to Paul Weller – and now, for one night only, he’s joining forces with the mighty Black Dyke Band to play his music as you’ve never heard it before.

Beautiful St George’s Hall will be the setting for this made-in-Yorkshire soundclash, pairing a World Champion brass band with one of Britain’s best-loved singer-songwriters. Following an opening set of Black Dyke favourites, we’ll hear a set of Hawley classics with added brass– including tracks from the Olivier Award-winning musical Standing at the Sky’s Edge. Don’t miss it.

Richard Hawley & the Black Dyke Band is part of The Big Brass Blowout, a weekend-long celebration of the best in brass.

Doors open from 7pm.

Presented by Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture. Purchased tickets will be sent by Bradford City of Culture 2 days before the event. To book Access tickets, please contact Bradford City of Culture directly.
